Hi,

in theory, using Subtitle Workshop and saving the result as "SubRip" format (*.srt) should be enough...
but, maybe, the file you are trying to covert has some kind of format defect.

Attach the file, maybe we can fix it.

Regards.

If you used Subtitle Workshop, you could not save a .sub file (Save as) as .srt file?
It always work!

Later edit: Sorry, Kerensky was faster than light.:)

That's a idx/sub file... to convert it to srt you need to use some OCR tool,
like Vobsub or the integrated Tesserat in Subtitle Edit.

thank you! i have vobsub but i've never really got it how it does, i have to re-write the whole text manually?

trying the subtitle edit now, it looks like the program have some problems with "W, M and ' ", otherwise it does the changes itself?

thanks again for the help

OCR tools works better having the idx file...
And yes, you usually have to write some letter which are not well
recognized (the app will ask for it), or 2 joined letters sometimes.

After a quick search, I found the srt conversion and I attached it here.
Since it's a lot easier just look if someone else did the job xD

I use SubtitleEdit to "Save as" .srt a .sub/idx file. :)
If I'm not wrong, Subtitle Workshop is doing the same
