kinglouisxx
@HappyLoman2 Videos with English hardcoded subs are now available. The release name is The.Bureau.S05.720p.WEB.H264-ROYALTiES. Since you won't find it on all sites, I'll just give you a hint: you might want to go in some kind of bay to find it. One with guys dressed as pirates. If you still don't manage to find it, drop me a PM. @pixxxie I'm not sure if you misunderstood my words or not. Since you already had access to those videos, the "Waiting patiently! ?" appeared odd to me. Maybe you hoped I was talking about subtitles as separate files? If I'm honest, I can't say my message was abundantly clear as to what I was refering to. So, I'm sorry if I generated any kind of false hope. pixxxie
@kinglouisxx All good, my friend ? I was indeed attempting to convey a message of hope for separate subs. I'll continue to hope for those as I'd eventually like to mux them with my 1080p version of the season.

They can be extracted from hard coded video with OCR software like: https://github.com/apm1467/videocr Slow, but seems to work. My linux computer isn't fast. I'm a surgeon. 2 00:01:20,320 --> 00:01:23,040 I care for children. I save children. 3 00:01:23,200 --> 00:01:25,280 Little ones: Every day. 4 00:01:25,440 --> 00:01:28,200 I’m a hero keep it quiet. pixxxie
Am I right in thinking videocr is a Windows thing? That'd count me out.
dlj
VideoSubFinder and SubRip are alternatives for windows. videocr uses python and Tesseract OCR, which can be installed in linux or windows or macos (homebrew).
engy77
I'm on Season 3, and to say the subs are bad is an understatement. Not properly synced in parts are only the beginning. I'm a native English speaker mostly fluent in French, and have noticed mistakes on almost every single line. The real kicker is that the audio in English doesn't even show correct English subs!!! No joke, they say one thing in English, and it displays different words (similar meaning, but sometimes it's STILL bad). I'm considering creating a new set of subs on my own, as I have some experience subtitling. It's a huge undertaking, though, and I wonder if there's a way to go about getting paid (really, it's a giant time commitment to do it properly) for creating proper subs. I've considered reaching out to Canal+, but not sure if anyone has thoughts about how to go about this? Maybe even starting a GoFundMe to share in communities like this just so some of my time would be compensated, as it takes me away from other things, and the people who DID get paid a fair wage for this botched it so badly...
