T. Geezer
My only post so far - hope I don't step on any toes. Looked for it, couldn't find it... Awhile ago the BBC adapted Terry Pratchett's "Johnny and the Bomb" into a three-part drama. It was pretty well received and I may be old but I still loved the original stories, which are aimed at adolescents and hit the target with me and my grandson, who recommended them to me. My wife has a hearing impairment and my U.S. upbringing gives me problems with heavy local U.K. accents, which this production has in plenty. Any hope someone here has subtitles or CC captions squirreled away on a forgotten hard drive somewhere? Reviews like the quoted excerpt below make me really want to watch this production... thanks for reading my blather! Tom Solid adaptation, 7 May 2006 Author: Mel J from Dundee, Scotland 'Johnny and the Bomb' is the perfect example of the BBC actually using our licence fee money to produce excellent entertainment instead of squandering it on dreary soaps and repetitive music competitions.
