Torrent.UK
Hi there, fellow subtitlers! I've been doing subtitles on SubtitleEdit for a long time and now I want to print or hard-code my subtitles on to video files. Primarily, I'm thinking about .srt files on .mp3, .mp4 or mkv files; the sort of files you would watch on VLC Video Player. I would appreciate if anybody out pointed me in the right direction? Thanks, lads.
BorisVictor
Welcome, Torrent.UK I think you can find many tutorials on YouTube or check Google. In my opinion this is a very generic question or I must completely mistaken your post. Edited November 29, 2017 by BorisVictor
pixxxie
I tried various options, but have settled for MKVTools on my Mac (you don''t mention which platform you're on). Very effective - it will soft mux and hard burn.
Torrent.UK
Hello BorisVictor and pixxxie, thank you both for your answer. They were very useful. @pixxxie, I am actually on Windows. I checked the MKVTools website but it's only for Mac. Thanks anyway. I have now tried Handbrake and it seems to be working all right for now. Thank you both and I wish you many, many happy subtitles!
