honeybunny
Have you ever used subtitles? Just drag and drop them into the video window.

spyderspyder
Hi. Starting from scratch: The first thing you need to do is to name the subtitle and video file the same (apart from the extension) e.g.:Superman.aviSuperman.srt Even the slightest difference in file names will not work. They must also, of course, be in the same place (folder, etc) on your PC. Try it... If it still doesn't work, make sure that your player is set up (in the playing options) to show subtitles. How to do this will be different in each player, so you are going to have t Report back as you progress... Cheers, s. Important links: Forum Help.Never look before you leap, it'll spoil the surprise. honeybunny
Try VLC or Bsplayer...
spyderspyder
OK - let's not give up yet... "the files extension are already .srt." But is the subtitle file the same name as the .avi file? What players are you trying? I know you mentioned MPC and WMP - what else have you tried? Have you tried VLC player? http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ It's not my favourite, but it will play anything, and should show subtitles with no special settings, just the default as installed. s. Kerensky
You can try using VLC as the others said, or, if you wanna keep using WMP / MPC, install this:http://www.free-codecs.com/download/directvobsub.htm But remember, both, video and the subtitle file MUST HAVE the same name.
