By earing is a solution, try to search google a transcript of what you will subtitling.Theres a lot a sites, putting at your disposal transcript of TV Series or movies transcript (transcript, is actually all the words, lines, HI - (door creaks) as soon the episode/movie is aired (sometimes before, on some very discreet sites).
