Hi All,

 

I have been following this thread for a while and am looking forward to having english subs.

 

If anyone is going to order the dutch dvds, I have a voice recognition software that will create the text in notepad,word,etc that may save people tiime transcribing the audio.

 

i am happy to send a copy to anybody, unfortunately it is does not include Danish.

Since only 25 minutes are missing from the first episode, I can transcribe and translate from the screen; it will only take a couple of hours. But I cannot sync, because I don't know how. So if I provide the translation, will someone be willig to sync the subs?

See, this is what I meant: It takes a couple of hours to translate the missing 25 minutes that would result in more than a week for the series.

Syncing the subtitles is probably the same amount of work.

By the time the last episode with  Greek subtitles has been uploaded it will be the end of May.

 

Knowing that the complete series will be on DVD in the Netherlands "From 6 April exclusively at the Volkskrant readers"  (Volkskrant is a Newspaper!) which for sure will have subtitles included,  I think that it won't  take very long before perfectly synchonized Dutch subtitles will be available.

 

I appreciate your offer but knowing that in two to three weeks ALL subtitles will be available

I personally would not invest in manual translation, but ít's all up to you of course.

Bonjour from France. I've got the first 3 épisodes of Season 3, but up to now, I've only managed to get the subs for episode 3x02. The subs for 3x01 are still only completed up to 35 minutes. I'm talking of course of subs in English (nothing seems to be available in French). If anybody on the forum could provide me with a complete version of 3x01 subs in English, I would be very grateful.

 

Last year when I discovered Borgen, the subtiles for season 2 were easily available, even though the series had not yet been aired in the UK. I don't know why it's taking so long for season 3...

The reason that DR1 is keeping the English subtitles in reserve is that it's smart business for them to do so.  They now know that they have properties (Borgen and other series to come) that have interntaional potential.  Thus, they don't want to undermine future audience ratings by releasing the subtitles before those broadcasts.

 

It's just business.  It's because they'll profit more by withholding the subs for now.  Really can't blame them.

Yeah, definitely makes sense. It's just strange that they did not realize it until now. As I pointed before, third season of Forbrydelsen was released very quickly (in December 2012). Maybe it's because BBC won't be broadcasting  Borgen s03 until January 2014. Broadcasting of Forbrydelsen s03 started on BBC before it was finished on DR1...

I made a list of everyone requesting the subtitles in this thread. To make sure you get them as soon as they're done, please check if your name is on it, and if not, quote it and add yourself to the list!

Oh and I see we can only send a message to 6 people at a time, and the message box quickly fills up.

as Silahim says, episode 1 has been taken down (each episode stays online for only a week). I had started working on the subs, but since there seemed to be no interest, and U0005 and Alice51 particularly said that there is no point to spend time on them, I stopped and discarded the file.
