gecko44
Hi, I'm looking for English subs for Grey's.Anatomy.S08E22.HDTV.XviD-2HD. Couldn't find 2HD-specific subs anywhere, so I tried to resync those for x264-LOL but failed miserably. I'm quite experienced in this matter but I wasn't able to make heads or tails of the LOL subs. It was like the framerate switched back and forth between blocks (i.e. the parts which are separated by cut commercial breaks) instead of staying at 23.976fps consistently. I couldn't find any pattern to it, so I finally gave up. If anybody could upload proper subs for the 2HD release, I'd really appreciate it. TIA. gecko44
Doc, your link is invalid. I assume you were trying to refer me to ? I read that thread but unfortunately I wasn't able to make SubtitleEdit work under Linux, which I'm using (Ubuntu + Wine).

gecko44
Did you read Well, that looked promising. Alas, somewhere along the way my dependencies got completely messed up - it took me several hours to fix that and now I'm back to square one. Hell... I think I'll just forget about it. Appreciate your help though, Doc. Thanks!
DrJackson
Yeah, now I'm stuck . I had to reinstall Ubuntu (due some... "minor" issues performed by myself ) and now nothing is working! I mean, I can open SE, I can load a .srt file, with appropiate video file, but I can't see any subtitle line on video player's window. I guess that is because SMPlayer (which I don't know why I've installed it , BTW). Well, it's digging time season, I'll come back with any (good - I hope ) news! doc The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do!
