beroal
I recently wrote a program in Haskell that produces time values for subtitles. I see a movie and a subtitle and click when an actor starts to pronounce that subtitle. With luck, timing takes no more time than watching. Then the program squeezes times and durations such that subtitles do not intersect and CPS (characters per second) of subtitles is roughly homogeneous. Is anybody interested? This program is for Linux and is rough. Of course, it does not have spell-checking and such because that was not its purpose.

DrJackson
I don't know if SW is working under Linux, but Subtitle Editor is working for sure, with spell-checking and many more features. But, let's encourage programmer's work, right? doc. The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do! IMPORTANT LINK:
