mb1tb
Looks like subs for this show isnt in high demand. Episode 5 was several days late as well.
sonoready
I do believe subs for Boss are in HIGHEST demand, just check the comments to E5! The fact that they come late/very late does not mean poor demand, I for one check the page every couple of hours. Should they come on time that would be pure bliss, as of now our bliss is delayed....:(
Bondurant
The problem is there's no transcript out for this episode and the show is a pretty hard one to subtitle by ear. Maybe if competent people would create a group to divide the tasks so the subs would get released earlier. EDIT: ok, CtrlHD has just released the 1080i ts. Let's see if there are cc in there. :)
Bondurant
I have the CtrlHD release and there are close captions in it but I don't know how to extract them. I have searched and tried with CCextractor and TSmuxer in vain. Here's a part of the mediainfo if this can help: Format : MPEG-TS File size : 5.71 GiB Duration : 56mn 16s Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 14.5 Mbps Video ID : 33 (0x21) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : MPEG Video Format version : Version 2 Format profile : Main@High Format settings, BVOP : Yes Format settings, Matrix : Custom Codec ID : 2 Duration : 56mn 15s Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 13.4 Mbps Maximum bit rate : 17.6 Mbps Width : 1 920 pixels Height : 1 080 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate : 29.970 fps Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Compression mode : Lossy Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.216 Stream size : 5.27 GiB (92%) Text #1 ID : 33 (0x21)-608-1 Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : EIA-608 Muxing mode : A/53 / DTVCC Transport Muxing mode, more info : Muxed in Video #1 Duration : 56mn 15s Bit rate mode : Constant Stream size : 0.00 Byte (0%) Text #2 ID : 33 (0x21)-1 Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : EIA-708 Muxing mode : A/53 / DTVCC Transport Muxing mode, more info : Muxed in Video #1 Duration : 56mn 15s Bit rate mode : Constant Stream size : 0.00 Byte (0%) It's the "muxed in video" that seems to bother. Would appreciate a little help.

DrJackson
I know Subtitle Editor has an Import subtitle from Matroska file option. Give a try. doc. Alex1969
I know Subtitle Editor has an Import subtitle from Matroska file option. Give a try. Yeah, but this file is not mkv, it's ts. Maybe you could try converting .ts to mkv and then use the SE option. Here are some relevant posts I found on the matter:ts --> mkvts to mkv help.ts to mkvP.S. You can always hope that someone will record the subs upon a rerun of the episode. It's not the years in the life, but the life in the years

The CtrlHD release already comes from the last rerun of the episode I'll try ts to mkv but I'm pessimistic about this. By the way, just to be clear, I see the close captions when I watch the file with VLC.
Bondurant
The mkv file created doesn't have subtitles. I don't see them using VLC and mediainfo doesn't indicate any text track.
