TheScribe56 Posted July 30, 2011 Report Share Posted July 30, 2011 I often see people asking in forums why anyone wants English subtitles for an English speaking TV show or movie. Well, being an American I often have trouble with the English language (knowwaddamean?) and being hearing impaired doesn't help my comprehension much either. I've had a lot of luck finding what I need at Addic7ed and my wife appreciates not having to repeat half the dialogue to me all the time. I just want to thank all the folks who create these subtitles (not to mention the videos) for all the hard work they do. I love science fiction and fantasy, but for years I ignored shows like Dr. Who and Torchwood, because I just couldn't keep up with the storyline.
