RowanEleven Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Just writing "closed captions"(i.e. the language of the audio stream) isn't necessarily the best way to say what you need, because you are using the English title of a Spanish series. A movie can be broadcast in more than one language. In my country series are amost always dubbed. So I am only guessing what language you are watching the series in, because I haven't watched it. Here are the Spanish subs. If you need the subs in another language, please let me know. One Hundred Years of Solitude - Season 1, Episode 01 Macondo.srt One Hundred Years of Solitude - Season 1, Episode 02 It's Like an Earthquake.srt One Hundred Years of Solitude - Season 1, Episode 03 A Daguerreotype of God.srt One Hundred Years of Solitude - Season 1, Episode 04 The Chestnut Tree.srt One Hundred Years of Solitude - Season 1, Episode 05 Remedios Moscote.srt One Hundred Years of Solitude - Season 1, Episode 06 Colonel Aureliano Buendía.srt One Hundred Years of Solitude - Season 1, Episode 07 Arcadio and The Liberal Paradise.srt One Hundred Years of Solitude - Season 1, Episode 08 So Many Flowers Fell From The Sky.srt

VelaOmsk Posted yesterday at 11:32 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 11:32 AM Englishsubtitles, you need to be clearer about what you want. In three years I have never understood what subtitles you are asking for.

Dubtitles are closed captions for the dubbed version. Writing an English title but wanting the Spanish subs (i.e. closed captions for YOUR videos) is confusing. Let's try to be clear so as not to waste contributor's time 🙂 Closed captions are the subtitles that correspond to the audio of a given video. (i.e. if the audio is in Finnish, the closed captions are Finnish as well) Subtitles are either closed captions or they are translations of the audio in a given video file. (e.g. English subtitles for the Finnish audio) So if you want closed captions you need to add the information which language your audio is, because most likely none of us are sitting next to you while you watch TV. So what you wanted was the closed captions for the SPanish audio of "Cien años de soledad", which is Latin American Spanish (not Castilian Spanish). /Just saying 😄 /your mileage may vary
VelaOmsk
What are closed captions? Are they subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing? I'm used to these subtitles being called SDH. Why do I see subtitles with white text on a black background like this when I Google ‘closed captions’? https://www.handspeak.com/learn/c/captioning/closed-captioning.jpg Which subtitle format do you need .srt or .scc? RowanEleven
Closed Captions vs Subtitles: What's the Difference? - AI-Media AI-Media https://www.ai-media.tv › knowledge-hub › insights › c... What does "closed caption" mean? Closed captions are text versions of the audio content of a video. This includes spoken words, information about who is speaking, and any sounds relevant to understanding context and meaning. For example: [laughter], [applause], [ominous music], the lyrics to a song playing in the background, etc.
VelaOmsk
I understand that. I wonder what the difference is between closed captions and subtitles, which are called SDH (subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing)? Why is this the first time I've heard this strange term, even though I've been translating subtitles for ten years?
