Archie - English Subtitles for Episodes 3 and 4

Hi All,

Hope you're all well in these frigid temperatures!

I'm looking for English subtitles for ITV's "Archie" (about Cary Grant). I've only found the ones for ITVX versions, but not for the ones from Britbox (Britbox doesn't have the "Previously..."  like ITVX does). I found the Britox version subs for Episodes 1 and 2, it's 3 and 4 that I can't find anywhere. Hoping someone has these.  Thanks!

Hi!

Here are two versions of subtitles that I found. I don't know whether they meet your needs. If you can't use those you could still try deleting the superfluous lines in your versions  and adjusting the times with Subtitle Edit.

Archie - S01E01 [720p mp4].srt Archie - S01E02 [720p mp4].srt Archie - S01E03 [720p mp4].srt Archie - S01E04 [720p mp4].srt Archie - Season 1, Episode 01.srt Archie - Season 1, Episode 02.srt Archie - Season 1, Episode 03.srt Archie - Season 1, Episode 04.srt

You say that like you think I know what I'm doing. 😄

Thanks for the reply and the effort but both those versions are the same subtitles. Both are with the "previouslies" and synced differently to the Britbox versions. Hopefully they will show up. The first two episodes are up in that version but the uploader must have given up on the show thereafter!

You won't learn, if you don't try. and it's really utterly simple.

  1. Download and install Subtitle Edit (it's free).https://www.nikse.dk/subtitleedit
  2. Make sure the movie file and the subtitle name are the same and both in one folder
  3. Open the subtitle.
  4. Highight and delete the lines at the beginning, that you don't need.
  5. Click on Synchronization in the menu.
  6. Choose "adjust all times".
  7. Move all subs forwward or backwards with a few clicks, till you see them appearing  in the right place on the little screen.
  8. Save
  9. Done

...or...

just download the episode versions, that belong to the subs that I uploaded above. That would be so much easier.

😁

It's not so much the learning than the time it takes, and I'm already stretched sooooo thin. Usually something that is purported to take 3 minutes ends up a few hours. Having said that, it sounds easier than the online syncher I was trying to use, which entailed putting in a number you think is going to be the right one to synch the subs correctly. Then half the time, then you finally get it right, they are ok at the start then midway through go off again! But I may give this one a try. I do like that's it is a downloadable version since my wifi crawls at a snail's pace, so the less online time the better. I will let you know how I fare. If you hear foul language on the waves, that will be me cursing a blue streak when it all baffles me. 😄

What's the fun in that! 😄

I have limited bandwith and a super slow connection (old lines that can't be replaced, well... that they "won't" replace, where we are) and I have the other versions already downloaded so would prefer not to have to download another version.

Thanks for your help. :) I may try that program when I have a few minutes (hours 😛 ). If in the meantime, an uncontrolable urge strikes you to download the Britbox version (think it was "dimepiece") and synching the tiles for me...  😉 😁
