A dull sound, as that of a heavy object striking a solid surface. 2. A blow or fall causing such a sound. intr.v. thud·ded, thud·ding, thuds. example from The Mentalist S03x14 114 00:04:48,819 --> 00:04:50,860 (thud) Ow! I'm fine. from a scene with Agent Lisbon.
