dny238
Fellow Addic7s! Two new features have come online this week that we're happy to tell you about. 1) This first feature affects all users who download subtitles. Historically, the list of subs for a particular movie or episode were presented in the order they were uploaded. This worked, but if there were alot of 'versions' then it could be difficult to see that there was more than one choice available to you. So we've done a few things... first was to enable language filtering, the new feature allows you to sort the versions by language as well. Look for these new features towards the top of the /series/ page; "Sort versions alphabetically by language" will be checked by default for most users. 2) The next time really affects our casual correctors. Hopefully everyone takes the time to correct minor mistakes in the subs they find while watching shows. Improving the database helps everyone. There are loads of good applications to work over raw subtitles and make mass corrections, fix syncing issues, etc; download Subtitle Edit or TAC(Transcript Annotations Cleaner) if you are interested. However, we're working to improve the online editing capabilities that exist in the site. "Find and Replace" has been on the list for a while. We integrated a new "Replace" feature into the "Filter" feature we've had for a while, but had to make some changes in order for it to work well. Here's what's new: A. Filter is now case sensitive (we'll be adding a checkbox in the next revision so you can control this yourself) B. Once you filter for something, you'll have a new 'Replace' feature. C. The replace feature is locked to word boundaries (so if you replace 'own' with 'bought' it wouldn't find 'town' and create 'tbought'. We think this is safer. Another check box will come soon to allow this to be controlled by the user. D. Replace doesn't hit save, you'll have to do that after you proof the changes you made. (Use the multi-save feature at the bottom of the screen) Look forward to the feedback on the new features! Dny

margjakob
Great, things keep getting better and better Indeed. Little oot, I've been wondering about 'English' and 'English (US)'. Why we need both?
alex28
think they can be merged somehow.. Changing the world. One subtitle at a time.
nothingness495
The filtering feature is awesome. But may I ask what is the difference between: English English (UK) English (US) I tried the filtering here: http://www.addic7ed.com/serie/Kitchen%20Nightmares/4/1/3 and the results are the same. Even here: http://www.addic7ed.com/serie/Above%20Suspicion/1/1/3 The subs are marked as "English (UK)" but they are still displayed for "English (US)"
honeybunny
English shows all of them.
margjakob
The subs are marked as "English (UK)" but they are still displayed for "English (US)" English shows all of them. I try here, 'English', 'English (UK)' have the same result. And here 'English', 'English (US)' have the same result. Is there any show here that have both 'English (US)' and 'English (UK)' translation? Another language, Spanish. I try here, 'Spanish (Spain)' and 'Spanish (Latin America)' have different result, 'Spanish' filter is ignored.
