Nikse
Yo doc! MayDay, MayDay!!! I've upgraded my SE325 version to SE327 new one, but when I tried to extract wave form, I get this one... What version of VLC are you using? Latest version is 2.
DrJackson
Version 1.1.11 The Luggage . Could be that a problem? doc LE: Ok, it works with VLC 2and something , but, it takes much much time to generate the wave form. Now the program need more than 3-4 minutes to generate it, instead of 45-50 seconds! And no, I didn't downgraded anything to my computer ! Nikse
Doc, do you have the "turbo button" on? ... Ok, it works with VLC 2and something , but, it takes much much time to generate the wave form. ... I've changed it a bit due to issue 82: http://code.google.com/p/subtitleedit/issues/detail?id=82&can=1 The temp wave file will be much smaller (and yes, slower) - but the following waveform/spectrogram generation will be faster. The setting is actually configuable - in Settings.xml you can change the vlc transcoding settings: <VlcWaveTranscodeSettings>acodec=s16l,channels=1,ab=64,samplerate=8000</VlcWaveTranscodeSettings> The old settting was just: "acodec=s16l"... you can change it back if you want to. Nikse
I have nothing to change, that line is already written in Settings.xml If you want the old settings, you must change it back to : <VlcWaveTranscodeSettings>acodec=s16l</VlcWaveTranscodeSettings> (with the old setting VLC will do less work, not change number of channels or samplerate - but SE will do a bit more...) Nikse
Yo! Subtitle Edit is just out in a new test version: SE 3.3 beta 2 - http://code.google.com/p/subtitleedit/ SE 3.3 includes many fixes and a few new features + the usual new subtitle formats. I've listed a few of the changes below: SE will now display a warning when a bad line/time code is detected (these errors will probably need manual fixing in notepad). Auto-backup is now on per default - you can change the time interval or turn it off/on in Options -> Settings Also, it's now easy to restore an auto-backedup subtitle. Some statistics about the current subtitle is available in File -> Statistics The syntax coloring has been improved and is now customizable (also check the 'General' tab) Also, there are new settings like "Max. chars/second", "Min. duration" and "Max. duration" + many new shortcuts! Do report bugs, crashes, wishes and far out occurrences :)

honeybunny
Is it just me or spell check now misses 2 letter words? (like rv). Haven't checked for 1 letter word like before (u instead of you etc)
Nikse
Is it just me or spell check now misses 2 letter words? (like rv). Haven't checked for 1 letter word like before (u instead of you etc) Hm, "rv" seems to be a correct word according to the English Hunspell dictionary (I just tried MS Word where it's a unknown word). I guess RV is a common abbreviation, but I don't know if it's an error or not (in the Hunspell dictionary)...
honeybunny
weird, in the previous version it might not have been added in the dictionary
