POLITENESS
Just because you "want" something doesn't mean that you can skip the basic politeness rules. Saying "Hi/Hello", with sentences and "I would like" (not "I want" or worse, no verb, and only the title you are looking for) and "Thank you" are the basic rules if you want your request to be fulfilled.
REQUESTING SUBS
Generally speaking, it is not necessary to request subs for episodes that Addic7ed is regularly providing for current TV shows; quality subtitles are usually available within a few hours at most - it's what Addic7ed does best.
In particular, do not request subtitles for shows or episodes that are less than 3 (three) days old.
ILLEGAL CONTENT
Providing or asking for information on how to illegally obtain or provide any material, including software is forbidden.

Similarly, requesting or posting serials, CD keys, passwords or cracks is forbidden.
SPAM AND ADVERTISING
Advertising any commercial product or service, in posts or signatures, is not permitted.

CROSS-POSTING AND BUMPING
Posting a thread in more than one forum is annoying and thus not allowed.

Thanks, but it would seem that my preferences should apply to the start page also, as it always used to do. I'm not usually checking to make sure the sub is in English first. -

So many artists of all genres turned out to be despicable characters. Non-artists too, of course. It is so difficult to make a decision. Do we have to let go of everything that moved our hearts, because they were shitty idiots? Where do we start, where do we stop? WA Mozart, Franz Nietzsche, Frederic Chopin, Richard Wagner, Leonard Bernstein, Placido Domingo, Herbert v. Karajan, Thomas Aquinas, Elizabeth I, and of course Roman Polanski or Woody Allen and yadda yadda, they weren't necessarily nice or easy people at all... do we have to delete eveything now? I couldn't bear to listen to Bill Cosby, even though he mde me laugh so much during a dark time of my life. But now I can't see past what he did. With Neil Gaiman I don't know yet. His oeuvre is someting quite different. I shudder to think that they might take away Terry Pratchett too one day. I'd rather not read any newspaper ever again! Can we, are we permitted to make a distinction between the art and the artist? Can we? Are we permitted? Tant d'artistes de tous genres se sont révélés être des personnages méprisables. Des non-artistes aussi, bien sûr. Il est si difficile de prendre une décision. Devons-nous abandonner tout ce qui nous a touchés au cœur, parce qu'ils étaient de parfaits idiots ? Je ne pouvais pas supporter d'écouter Bill Cosby, même s'il m'a fait tellement rire pendant une période sombre de ma vie. Mais maintenant, je ne peux pas voir au-delà de ce qu'il a fait. Avec Neil Gaiman, je ne sais pas encore. Son œuvre est quelque chose de tout à fait différent. Je frémis à l'idée qu'ils puissent aussi un jour me retirer Terry Pratchett. Je préférerais ne plus jamais lire aucun journal ! Pouvons-nous, avons-nous le droit de faire une distinction entre l'art et l'artiste ? Pouvons-nous ? Avons-nous le droit ? -

Oui, c'est ça. The world, and people in general are mostly stupid. Who can you trust? Well, if it says meow or barks, you're on the safe side. Le monde et les gens en général sont pour la plupart stupides. À qui peut-on faire confiance ? Eh bien, s'il miaule ou aboie, vous êtes en sécurité. -

Effectivement, c'est pour cela que je suis très déçue : déçue que les films, livres, séries, œuvres en tout genre soient interrompues ou oblitérées, ET déçue par l'attitude de Gaiman si elle est avérée (et le nombre de témoignages laisse penser qu'il a bien dû se passer des trucs répréhensibles). Rares sont encore les hommes qui s'excusent d'avoir eu des comportements abusifs qui ne passent plus du tout actuellement. J'en connais pourtant des tas qui n'ont rien à se reprocher — c'était donc faisable quelle que soit l'époque !
